Larimar, only found in the Dominican Republic, is a rare blue variety of Pectolite. The man who coined the name Larimar, named it after his daughter, taking part of her name (Larissa) and the Spanish word for sea (mar) and joined them together.
This soft blue stone is believed to carry the energies of the sea and sky, and helps to awaken the divine feminine within. It’s a stone of tranquility that radiates peace and love, and eases self-imposed blockages and constraints.
This necklace is handcrafted with a natural, faceted Larimar teardrop. The stone ranges in light to darker aqua and/or blue-green with a mix white. Brown spots are in some stones, as well. The chain and clasp are available in your choice of sterling silver or 14k gold fill.
